Rachel Varga, CPA, has joined Erickson, Brown & Kloster P.C. as a staff accountant and has more than two years of experience working with business and individual tax clients.


Five broker associates have joined Re/Max Properties Inc. Richard Caldwell has joined the south office located at 2630 Tenderfoot Hill St. Melissa Bagnall has joined the Mark McWilliams Re/Max Team at the Monument office at 1761 Lake Woodmoor Drive. Jeb Brewster recently joined the Distinctive Re/Max Group at the north office location, 1740 Chapel Hills Drive. Jerry Sanden has joined the south RE/MAX office at 2630 Tenderfoot Hill St.


Rocky Mountain Human Services has added Craig Schlattmann as Homes for All Veterans (HAV) program manager. Schlattmann is a retired Air Force colonel with nearly 30 years of military service, including operational assignments in Iraq and Afghanistan and staff positions with NATO and the United Nations. In his new role, he will oversee RMHS’s statewide HAV program to promote housing stability and alleviate chronic homelessness among veterans.


Sharon Leroy returned to the south Re/Max office, located at 2630 Tenderfoot Hill St., after a brief hiatus. Leroy is a Colorado native, and resident of Colorado Springs since the 1970s.


Stockman Kast Ryan + Co., the largest locally owned certified public accounting firm in Southern Colorado, announced the promotions of two employees. Beth Lake was promoted to audit senior. Lake has been with the firm for two years and specializes in the nonprofit sector. Her community involvement includes serving as the assistant treasurer for Newborn Hope Inc., in addition to being a member of the American Institute of CPAs and the Colorado Society of CPAs. Lori Boyle was also promoted to audit senior. She has been with the firm for six months. Boyle also volunteers with the Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region and is a member of the American Institute of CPAs as well as the Pennsylvania Institute of CPAs.


Ferguson Partners Ltd. announced Erica Hirsen, 31, as a new director based in the company’s Chicago corporate office. Hirsen will focus on developing and serving clients in the health care real estate industry, specifically in senior housing. Hirsen holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting and a master’s of accountancy from the University of Wisconsin. She is also a registered CPA.
