The Colorado Springs Diversity Forum wraps up its diversity week with a party from 8 p.m. to midnight at Stargazer’s Theater. The celebration is a reenactment of an evening at Fannie Mae Duncan’s Cotton Club, featuring jazz by Tony Exum Jr. and R & B, funk, Motown and Top 40 hits by Suga Bear and the Showtime Band.

Leading Edge: NxLevel for Entrepreneurs

This Leading Edge program is a 12-session course designed for entrepreneurs who want to start or expand businesses and need skills to make business ideas grow. QuickBooks Pro: Introduction

This course will teach small-business owners who handle the finances how to use QuickBooks and how to create information in the program. It’s led by Len Martin, a CPA with LWM Accounting, and will be held from 12:30 to 5 p.m. at the Springs SBDC. Register by calling 667-3803.

Social Media for Businesses

Learn more about how social networking can benefit your business from a successful small-business owner who doubled her income in less than six months. This program demystifies terms, shares how-to tips and step-by-step strategies so business owners can choose the right tools. Health Summit 2013

The Colorado Springs Regional Business Alliance will host a forum about health care from 7 to 11:30 a.m. at the Antlers Hilton Hotel. The forum, “Health Care Reform: Make It Work for You,” provides a local perspective on health care reform for small and large businesses, and includes information about Connect for Health Colorado. QuickBooks Pro: Mastering

After taking the basic course, this class will teach advanced practices for QuickBooks, including how to track credit card accounts and transactions and how to track assets and liabilities. CSBJ Power Lunch

The space industry is growing in Colorado Springs, and this luncheon is an opportunity to learn more about aerospace companies as well as understand the Air Force and Army space missions. Learn how the region can keep and enhance local space assets. Speakers include representatives from Space Command, the Colorado Space Coalition, Braxton Technologies and Northrop Grumman.
