Colorado Springs-based Delta Solutions and Strategies was awarded a prime contract on the Electronic FAA Accelerated and Simplified Tasks Master Ordering Agreement, also known as eFAST.
The contract is for the Federal Aviation Administration and means that Delta is part of a pool of 484 contract holders that are able to compete for $7.4 billion in professional services contracts during the next 11 years.
“We call it a hunting license,” said Kelly Bain, senior partner at the firm. “And it’s what most government contractors operate on in this city. It lets us bid on specific contracts – like if the government wanted a study about the Spaceports or if they wanted someone to work on a national security issue. We’d bid on those. There are also single-source contracts, which will allow us more work as well.”
Delta Solutions will focus on obtaining contracts for business administration and management, computer information systems development, computer systems support, engineering services and research and development.
The company will be allowed to bid on contracts for five years, plus one option period of six years, she said.
“This will allow us to stop focusing solely on DoD (Department of Defense) contracts,” Bain said. “It’s a great opportunity to diversify.”
Delta Solutions is a service disabled, veteran-owned small business that provides products and services to the DoD, federal government and local first-responders.
