Best Lawyers is based on a peer-review survey in which almost 50,000 leading attorneys cast nearly 5 million votes on the legal abilities of other lawyers in their practice areas.
Figgie wins Pacesetter Award
Ent Federal Credit Union announced that Laura Figgie, a registered representative affiliated with broker dealer and registered investment adviser CUSO Financial Services, LP, earned the 2012 Bronze Pacesetter Award at the CFS/Sorento Pacific Financial (SPF) “Passion. Innovation. Success.” 2013 Annual Conference recently held in San Diego. The award honors the top-producing registered representatives among CFS and SPF’s nearly 200 credit union and bank programs. Supported by her junior investment representative Judy Bilyeu, Figgie was credited with providing high quality investment and retirement planning services to Ent clients. She has served the Ent membership for nine years.
AMR wins Silver Stevie Award
American Medical Response of the Pikes Peak Region won a Silver Stevie Award in the category “Corporate Social Responsibility Program of the Year in Canada and the USA” in the tenth annual International Business Awards.
The IBAs are the world’s premier business awards program. The 2013 IBAs received entries from more than 50 nations and territories.
Donations made to fire victims
Weidner Apartment Homes, Griffis/Blessing Inc. and Seagate Colorado Partners in conjunction with the Apartment Association of Southern Colorado, partnered to aid individuals and families who were displaced by the Black Forest Fire. A donation of $17,150 was made to El Paso County benefiting the Disaster Assistance Center in order to show support for the community. All contributions will go directly to those affected by the fire. El Paso County Commissioner Darryl Glenn received the donations.
Morgan Stanley donates for fire relief
Morgan Stanley Wealth Management’s Colorado Springs office donated $5,000 to the Pikes Peak Community Foundation to help support victims of the recent Black Forest fire. The Foundation launched the Emergency Relief Fund for the Pikes Peak Region: Black Forest Fire to benefit nonprofits, first responders, and other agencies providing local disaster relief now and working with future recovery and restoration efforts.
Lambert, Lundberg honored
The American Legislative Exchange Council honored Colorado state sens. Kent Lambert, R-Colorado Springs, and Kevin Lundberg, R-Berthoud, with their Legislator of the Year Award at their annual meeting in Chicago last week. Lambert and Lundberg were recognized as legislators who have shown leadership in advancing public policy based on the Jeffersonian principles of free markets, limited government and federalism.
ERA Shields appreciates its clients
Several local ERA Shields Real Estate professionals hosted the biggest client appreciation night to date at a Sky Sox game, Aug. 13. Approximately 415 people attended this year’s event. The client appreciation event was hosted by Mark Rudolph, Barry Cavanaugh, Lauren Thomas, Martha Marzolf, Michelle Blessing, Rob Henderson and Eddie Hurt.
Donation to wildfire victims
Kum & Go presented a $15,000 check to the Pikes Peak Chapter of the American Red Cross to help people and communities affected by wildfires in Colorado. The money comes from in-store donations from Kum & Go customers and a donation from the company.
SSFCU ranks fifth nationally in dealer satisfaction
Dealer service, fast payment and an increased presence in Colorado and Utah has placed Security Service Federal Credit Union (SSFCU) fifth among prime retail credit lenders in the country for overall satisfaction, according to the J.D. Power 2013 U.S. Dealer Financing Satisfaction Study released in July.
SSFCU scored 917 on a 1,000-point scale based on its finance offerings, the application/approval process and sales representative relationship.
