Peacemaker Ministries, an international organization that assists Christians and their affiliates resolve conflicts with the teachings of the Bible, opened its new location at 790 Stout Road on Sept. 1, according to a release from the Colorado Springs Regional Business Alliance.
“We exist to help Christians avoid the damage and expense associated with destructive conflict and to help them develop a culture of peace that conveys sincere love of both God and neighbor. What better location than Colorado Springs?” said CEO Dale Pyne in the release. “Home to approximately 170 Christian organizations—several of whom Peacemaker Ministries is already serving through training, resources and conciliation services—this as well as the area’s environment, employee base, geographically central location and quality of life make Colorado Springs the perfect location for our new office.”
Pyne also said that while some full-time staff members will remain in the Billings, Mont., branch, “future growth will center in Colorado Springs.” Peacemaker currently employs 15 people in Montana and plans to hire 8-10 additional staff members at the new Springs location.
The organization said that the offices, which it shares with the Springs-based Community Bible Study organization, will serve as a base for its training, education, mediation and other operations.
“We are pleased to have provided assistance to Peacemakers,” said Joe Raso, President and CEO of the Business Alliance. “They will find excellent talent in this region and we look forward to supporting their business needs as they continue to expand their organization.”
