Volunteers sought for airport, transportation advisory boards

The City of Colorado Springs seeks volunteers for the Airport Advisory Board and Citizens Transportation Advisory Board.

The airport board serves in an advisory capacity to the City Council and the City Planning Commission. Members are appointed for three-year terms, serving on a volunteer basis to address matters pertaining to land use, construction, planning or operation of the Colorado Springs Airport and its master plan. Also, the Commission may act in an advisory capacity to the El Paso County Planning Commission and the El Paso Board of County Commissioners.

The transportation advisory board advises City Council on matters relating to the City’s multi-modal transportation system, including trails, bicycling and pedestrian issues; neighborhood issues; trucking and freight movement issues; public transit issues; business issues; and land development and construction issues.
