Wal-Mart Foundation grants $34,000

Pikes Peak Community Action Agency received a $34,000 grant from the Wal-Mart Foundation for its Transition to Independence Program. The agency estimated that the grant will help PPCAA be able to help an additional 40 low-income individuals.

Discover Goodwill of Southern and Western Colorado was elevated to Gold Status with GuideStar, a national nonprofit reporting agency providing detailed financial and operational information to 8 million online visitors annually. Kaiser earns five stars

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services has announced that the Kaiser Permanente Medicare plan in Colorado earned the designation of five stars, which is the highest overall rating for quality and service for 2014 health plans. This is the fourth year in a row that Kaiser Permanente Colorado has received the five-star rating from CMS.
