Local firm Bryan Construction Inc. has landed the contract to build ANB Bank’s new branch location at the corner of Cimarron Street and Cascade Avenue in downtown Colorado Springs.
“Bryan Construction is proud to partner with ANB Bank, and excited to help revitalize this portion of the downtown area,” said Project Executive Doug Woody in a news release announcing the construction.
ANB has intended to award the contract for its planned $5 million, 18,000-square-foot structure since it purchased more than an acre of vacant land and office property for $2.1 million in June. Construction of the facility will begin in December and is expected to be complete in September 2014.
The bank expects the new branch location, which will serve as its base in Colorado Springs, to be ready for opening in mid-2014. Before construction begins, Bryan Construction must demolish the former office building of Colorado Springs Osteopathic Foundation at 15 W. Cimarron.
In a prior interview, ANB Regional President Lonnie Parsons told the Business Journal that the move from the company’s leased Colorado Springs headquarters at 102 N. Cascade Ave. to its new home is part of a larger effort to own more of its own facilities. The bank has also discussed plans to lease upper-floor units of the three-story structure to other tenants until those floors are needed for ANB operations.
Bryan Construction has been headquartered in Colorado Springs for 35 years and performs construction management and general contracting work in a variety of markets. The company currently has offices in the Springs, Fort Collins, Dubai and Istanbul.
