Women Partnering event

Women Partnering will sponsor its 11th annual Wine and Cheese Tasting from 5 to 7:30 p.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Parish Center, 2650 Parish View. Gentiva Hospice, in partnership with the Alzheimer Association and Therapeutic Crisis Solutions, will offer free education to area skilled nursing facilities and assisted living facilities that provide memory care on, “Creating Safety and Peace as Dementia Caregivers,” from 1:30 – 4:30 p.m. at the Inn at Garden Plaza, 2520 International Circle. The Public Relations Society of America’s annual professional development workshop will be from 8:15 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the El Paso County Citizens Service Center, 1675 W. Garden of the Gods Road. Registration ends Oct. 24.

Transition and Encore Careers Workshop

The Pikes Peak Workforce Center and Innovations in Aging Collaborative will hold a Transition and Encore Careers workshop from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Pikes Peak Workforce Center, 1675 Garden of The Gods Road, #1107. This workshop is geared toward those considering a move from the for-profit or military sectors to the nonprofit or public sectors and will be taught by Janine Vanderburg of JVA Consulting.
