Springs to host 2014 USA Pro Challenge

America’s Race, the USA Pro Challenge, returns to Colorado Springs for the 2014 tour. The Pro Challenge is an annual multi-day professional road cycling stage race. The Springs will host Stage four of the race.

Colorado Springs was a host city in 2011 for the prologue and in 2012 for the penultimate stage of the race.

The 2014 race will begin in Aspen on Aug. 18. After winding through Crested Butte, Gunnison and Monarch Mountain, the cyclists will roll into Colorado Springs on Aug. 21. Stage five starts in Woodland park on Aug. 22 and ends in Breckenridge. Stage six on Aug. 23 ends in Vail.
