Rotary Clubs to give 3 local businesses $1,000 grants

The Pikes Peak Area Rotary Clubs announced Sunday they will give $1,000 grants to three local businesses affected by recent floods and fires.

The three area businesses — Tac Tile LLC, Scale Models LLC and Black Forest Creative Arts Center — will receive the grants during a ceremony Wednesday at Black Forest Fire Station One, according to the release.

The Rotary Business Relief Fund Committee, SCORE and the Colorado Springs Small Business Development Center worked together to choose the three businesses.

“The eight Colorado Springs area Clubs have banded together to collect and disburse donations through the Pikes Peak Area Rotary Endowment,” the release said. “PPARE is a 501c3 Charitable Foundation providing local community service in the name of Rotary and Rotarians in the Pikes Peak Region.”

The event Wednesday will begin at 10 a.m. at the fire station at 11445 Teachout Road in Black Forest.
