The annual Own Your Own Art Sale & Exhibition begins Friday night at the Sangre de Cristo Arts and Conference Center in Pueblo.
From 5-7 p.m. in the Helen T. White Galleries, the public may enjoy refreshments and a cash bar, and meet many of the artists exhibiting in the show and in other galleries. This free reception also features an ugly sweater contest–the winner will receive two tickets to Sangre de Cristo’s Nutcracker, the Ballet.
The sale and exhibition operates 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday, through Dec. 28, at the Arts Center, 210 N. Santa Fe Ave., Pueblo, Colo., 81003.
Sponsored by Kitty and Mark Kennedy, the Own Your Own Holiday Art Sale offers a selection of fine art and craft works in all prices. From jewelry and pottery to framed paintings, dozens of local and regional artists have created one-of-a-kind pieces for the show. Work by Jeremy Manyik, Rhonda Moreschini, Deborah Hager, Elaine Ware, Arlyss Grosz, Tony Ortega, Vivian Etmanzcyk, Lori Hannen and many more will be available.
On Dec. 7, the galleries will stay open until 7 p.m. to give those attending that evening’s performance of Nutcracker, the Ballet a chance to stop by the galleries before the show. In addition, Dec. 15 and Dec. 22 galleries will open their doors from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. to offer complimentary wassail, strolling carolers and a notable absence of department store frenzy, according to a news release.
