Ron Rubin has been named the Memorial Hospital Foundation’s development director. Rubin, most recently the development officer for major gifts at Colorado College, is a CC graduate and has lived in Colorado Springs since 1980. He has served on various committees and nonprofit boards including The Resource Exchange, Children’s Literacy Center and Rotary Club.

 

Colorado Springs Health Partners recently announced the hirings of several new employees.

Kent Loweke is the chief information officer. Loweke earned his bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of South Florida and he is working on his master’s in health care management from Western Governors University.

Stephen Farkas, D.O., joined CSHP’s East Family Medicine after practicing in the U.S. Air Force 15 years. Farkas received his bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Riverside, and his doctor of osteopathic medicine degree from Western University of Health Science in Pomona, Calif.

Sonia Seufer, M.D., is the newest physician at CSHP’s East Family Medicine. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Colorado State University and her medical degree from the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center.

Nicholas Toepfer, M.D., is a urologist who earned his medical degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine and completed his general surgery internship and urology residency at Geisinger Medical Center in Pennsylvania.

Jennifer Decker, M.D., joined the otolaryngology (ear, nose and throat) department. She earned her bachelor’s degree in engineering from Vanderbilt and her medical degree from Duke University School of Medicine. She is fellowed in rhinology/skull-base surgery and facial plastic surgery.

Anju Sidhu is the most recent addition to the CSHP gastroenterology team. She earned her bachelor’s degree at the University of Maryland and her medical degree from Eastern Virginia Medical School. She completed both her internal medicine residency and fellowship in gastroenterology, hepatology and nutrition training at the University of Louisville.

 

Philip B. Kalin was named president and chief executive officer of Pinnacol. Kalin earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Iowa and a master’s degree in health care administration from the University of Michigan.

Springs Rescue Mission has selected Larry Yonker as the mission’s new president and CEO. Yonker succeeds the Rev. Joe Vazquez in the position.

The RMH Group recently added Alejandro Infante, P.E., as a senior mechanical engineer to its health care services division.

Colorado College Associate Professor of Sociology Kathy Giuffre will present at the TEDxMileHigh: Women | Values + Instincts on Saturday in Denver. She is doing research on the social structures conducive to fostering creativity and innovative thinking.

Adam Stoffey, a financial representative with Northwestern Mutual — Colorado Springs, has been appointed college unit director in the Colorado Springs area. Stoffey received a bachelor’s degree in business accounting from University of Colorado, Colorado Springs.

Jim Lester recently joined Total Office Solutions as director of sales. Lester has a bachelor’s degree in business administration management from Lynchburg College in Lynchburg, Va.

Bill Darnell accepted the position as vice president, commercial loan officer with Cañon National Bank. Darnell will be based in the Colorado Springs west branch in Old Colorado City. Darnell attended Southern Methodist University – Cox School of Business.

Lucas Jensen is now working at Re/MAX properties in downtown Colorado Springs.

Ent Federal Credit Union added Cammie Gollihare to Ent’s business banking team as a business banking cash management specialist, responsible for analyzing businesses’ merchant and payroll systems. Gollihare is a 15-year Colorado Springs resident.
