AspenPointe a finalist for award, statewide recognition

154219043A Colorado Springs health network is one of three finalists for statewide recognition by the Colorado Business Committee for the Arts.

The committee announced Thursday that mental and behavioral health services provider AspenPointe is one of 15 finalists competing for five different Business for the Arts Awards.

AspenPointe is nominated for the Impact Award along with Kevin Taylor Restaurant Group and Arts Brookfield–both of Denver.

The Impact Award “highlights the innovative use of the arts to propel business success, programs that engage employees with creativity and other community activities that support arts and business partnerships,” officials said in the release. The health facility was nominated due to its “exceptional military artistic healing programs that use the power of art to advance self-expression and coping skills.”

Other recognitions include the Create Award, the John Madden Jr. Leadership Award, the Philanthropy Award and the Workspace Award.

The five winners will be announced at the committee’s 27th annual Business for the Arts Awards luncheon at 11:30 a.m. March 5 in the Seawell Grand Ballroom at the Denver Performing Arts Complex.
