Home-buying seminar

Ent Federal Credit Union will host a home-buying seminar from 10 a.m. to noon at 7350 Campus Drive, second floor. Learn about the financial steps in the home-buying process, including preparing for home ownership, a mortgage loan application checklist and details on the variety of mortgage loan products available, including special loan options for first-time home buyers. Dodd-Frank Realtor workshop

To help local Realtors prepare for the January 2014 Dodd-Frank Act rollout, Ent Federal Credit Union is holding a free workshop. “The New Mortgage Rules: What Every Realtor Needs to Know” will be offered twice, from 9 to 11 a.m. and 1 to 3 p.m., at Ent Federal Credit Union, 7350 Campus Drive, Second Floor.

Jon Paukovich, Ent’s vice president of mortgage lending, will provide an overview of the Ability to Repay rule, Qualified Mortgage Standards and other new mortgage lending regulations, along with tips on guiding home buyers through these new rules. A question-and-answer session will follow.

IntelliTec Medical Institute will host a seminar from 9 to 11 a.m. at 6805 Corporate Drive, Tiffany Square Building, at Interstate 25 and Woodmen Road.

This free seminar, “Learn to Score on Your 24: Touchdowns in Time Management,” will be taught by Denise Davis of Effective Organizing Solutions.

CASA volunteer 4-1-1 night

CASA of the Pikes Peak Region is a volunteer-based nonprofit organization that trains and supervises volunteers to represent the best interests of our most vulnerable citizens — victims of child abuse, neglect, and severe domestic conflict.
