After nearly 1o years stationed in the Pikes Peak United Way building on North Nevada Avenue, the Colorado Springs-based Center for Nonprofit Excellence has found a new home.

The Center announced in a news release Friday that it will move its offices to 723 N. Weber St., just three blocks from its current location at 518 N. Nevada Ave.

The Center did not announce a specific date for the move but said it would follow the organization’s Nonprofit Day Conference on March 7.

“The Center for Nonprofit Excellence, along with its program Front Range Executive Service Corps, enters a new era of service to the nonprofit sector as we make this physical move,” Executive Director Dave Somers said in the release.

“At the same time, we are so thankful for the generous support from Pikes Peak United Way, which has enabled us to reach this important day in our organization’s history.”

The Center for Nonprofit Excellence, which currently has a membership of 250 organizations, began in 1991 as the Chamber Nonprofit Partnership and later moved to partner with Pikes Peak United Way.

“Having supported CNE’s initial growth over the past ten years, we at Pikes Peak United Way are especially proud of the educational impact this organization has had in advancing our city’s nonprofit sector,” President and CEO Jason Wood said in the release. “And [we] look forward to witnessing its continued growth.”
