CoreLogic reported foreclosures in the Colorado Springs area dropped from more than 1 percent in January 2013 to .77 percent in January 2014, although that number increased .5 percent from December.
“Foreclosure activity in Colorado Springs was lower than the national foreclosure rate, which was 1.97 percent for January 2014,” the report stated. “Also in Colorado Springs, the mortgage delinquency rate decreased.”
