Hospice nationally recognized

Gentiva Hospice in Colorado Springs achieved Level IV We Honor Veterans honors with the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization in partnership with Veteran Affairs. Hospice staff are trained to differentiate veterans’ needs by time period and war. They also work closely with the Disabled American Veterans to connect patients to those who can help them.

Riley earns accreditations

Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage announced that Irina Riley, broker associate, earned the Certified Residential Specialist designation from the Council of Residential Specialists.

Griffis-Blessing takes over property

Griffis/Blessing Inc., will now manage the Montebello Center, a four-building complex at the northwest corner of Montebello and Academy Boulevard. The management team will be led by Li Seeger, Stacie Gray and Bobby Black.

Ethical trash, consulting

Waste Management, a national trash company that operates in Colorado Springs, was named the 2014 world’s most ethical company by the Ethisphere Institute. Also on the list is CH2MHill, a consulting company based in Englewood but with an office in Colorado Springs. Others named include Marriott International, Time Warner, Safeway, PetCo, Starbucks, UPS and more.

Brand of the year

The 26th annual Harris Poll study ranked Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices the Real Estate Brand of the Year. More than 40,000 consumers were polled.

Warren is a winner

Linda Warren of The Warren Management Group has been named the 2013 educator of the year by Community Association Institute of Falls Church, Va. The award will be presented at CAI’s National Conference in Orlando, Fla., in May.
