CSBJ breakfast to address job creation, retention

The Colorado Springs Business Journal will host a breakfast speakers event Thursday featuring a panel discussion on job creation in the Pikes Peak region.

Sponsored by Platinum Relations and Stockman Kast Ryan + Co., this month’s Breakfast with the Journal will include talks on how to create jobs through venture capital, legislation and regulation. The event will also discuss how the community might retain its current workforce in the years to come.

Guest speakers include Matt Varilek, Region VIII administrator for the U.S. Small Business Administration; Nick Kittle, manager of innovation and sustainability for Adams County; and El Paso County Commissioner Amy Lathen.

The event is scheduled for 7 to 9 a.m. at the Doubletree World Arena Hotel at 1775 E. Cheyenne Mountain Blvd. in Colorado Springs.

Registration is $27 and includes breakfast.
