The City of Manitou Springs will offer free summer shuttles and a free parking lot during the summer season, according to City Planner Michelle Anthony.
The parking lot, which holds around 100 vehicles and can accommodate buses and Rvs, is located behind the Tajine Alami Restaurant at 10 Old Man’s Trail. Parking in front of the property is for restaurant customers only; noncustomers may be towed if they park there.
Free parking is available from 3 to 6 a.m. seven days a week.
Overnight parking, camping or long-term parking is not allowed. The lot is available through Sept. 30.
The Incline/Cog shuttle will run from the free parking lot up to the stop on Ruxton Avenue near the Cog Depot.
One bus will operate from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. every day with a 20-minute frequency for the Incline/Cog shuttle, and a second bus will operate on weekends and holidays.
For the east end and downtown shuttle, one bus will operate from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. every day, again with a 20-minute frequency.
