The Better Business Bureau of Southern Colorado and the Colorado Springs Small Business Development Center are hosting the 2014 Small Business Week, beginning June 16. This week-long initiative is designed to celebrate the awareness, education and recognition of small businesses and entrepreneurs in the Pikes Peak Region.
The mission of the event is to bring together small business from across the Pikes Peak Region so they may learn to further support one another and their community, become better educated as leaders and business owners and be recognized through awards for their business success and commitment to the community.
The schedule for the week and registration information is as follows:
“Small Business Week is a wonderful opportunity to showcase our region’s small businesses and the resources offered, to help them succeed and grow. Small businesses generate a large percentage of new jobs and innovations across the Front Range,” said Matt Barrett, CEO of the Better Business Bureau of Southern Colorado “The BBB and SBDC have created Small Business Week to serve the diverse business community in the Pikes Peak Region with educational workshops and to recognize and champion the success stories from entrepreneurs and business owners. We are proud to host this week with the BBB and are very grateful for the support received from our many wonderful sponsors.”
This year’s Small Business Week sponsors are: Century Link Business, the Colorado Springs Regional Business Alliance, Pike Peak Regional Development Corporation, Platinum Relations, US Bank, the Colorado Springs Business Journal and News Channel 13.
“With support from community partners such as these, this year’s small business week is bound to be one of the most successful on record,” Barrett added.
