The Colorado Springs Regional Business Alliance encourages Colorado businesses to join the state in its certification and promotion efforts.
The RBA encourages businesses to apply online for the certification process that brands Colorado goods and services as being from the state.
“Colorado is known as dynamic, vibrant and innovative,” said a news release sent by the RBA. The byCOLORADO State Certification Program distinguishes state-produced goods and services with eight brand badges specifically designed to distinguish Colorado based entities.
The badges resemble the state’s new logo, but are differentiated by descriptive words in the larger logo beneath the state triangle logo. The words are “grown,” “designed,” “company,” “made,” “It’s our nature,” “raised,” “employer” and “nonprofit.”
According to the program, 92 percent of state residents said they would purchase more Colorado products if they were identified as being from the state. The certification program aims to educate people as to the origins of Colorado products.
There is an $89 registration fee. That enables the user to “liberally” use the logos identifying products and services as being from Colorado.
Companies already using the logos include Enstrom Candies, Boyer’s Coffee, Otter Box, Udi’s, Leitner Poma and more.
