The Leavitt Group noted CIA-Leavitt Insurance Agency’s exceptional growth, profitability, and customer service when presenting the award.
CC picked for global consortium
Colorado College has been designated a Changemaker Campus by Ashoka U and selected to join a global consortium of leaders in entrepreneurship education. The 26 consortium members, which includes only three liberal arts colleges, are committed to advancing social innovation initiatives on their campuses and catalyzing change in higher education, according to a press release sent by the college.
Voake recognized by Health Underwriters
The Leading Producers Round Table of the National Association of Health Underwriters announced that Tom Voake, president of Effective Choices, Inc., has qualified for the eighth year to receive the association’s Golden Eagle Award. Voake is the employee benefit specialist for Strategic Financial Partners.
Scott Schuster of RTA Architects earned his architecture license from the state of Colorado. Schuster is LEED-accredited and an associate member of the American Institute of Architects. He received his bachelor of architecture license from Kansas State University.
Hazlehurst wins national honor
Columnist and news writer John Hazlehurst of the Colorado Springs Business Journal and Colorado Springs Independent won second place in the political column section in the Association for Alternative Newsmedia contest for his weekly City Sage columns in the Independent. The contest covers all alternative newspapers in North America with a circulation up to 50,000. Bill Forman of the Independent also won a second place for best arts feature.
