The free webinar will take place Wednesday from 7:30-9 a.m.
The webinar will be presented from the Boulder SBDC office.
Among others, the webinar will answer the question: What does it really mean to your business to take outside, private equity investment from angels, venture capitalists or private equity firms? The webinar will explore legal ramifications and compare LLCs with corporations, as it pertains to different types of investors.
It will also explore financial ramifications: How to set up the accounting books for start-ups (loan to your business, how to ‘register’ taking money from friends/family, loans versus equity shares, why business strategy is key, how to start setting up a cap table – helps with valuation later if the business has reliable financial statements).
There will be an internal discussion among founders and owners of businesses. The speaker is Tally Costa, accredited associate of the Institute for Independent Business.
The workshop is designed specifically for ventures poised for high growth. Preregistration required. All information to join the webinar will be sent to registered attendees.
