Ent Federal Credit Union announced the hiring of Dave McAfee as its military relationship manager. McAfee retired as a chief master sergeant with 30 years of Air Force service and most recently was squadron superintendent, 21st Force Support Squadron at Peterson Air Force Base. He has a bachelor’s degree in technical management from DeVry University, an associate’s degree in human resource management and a professional manager certification from the Community College of the Air Force. McAfee will work closely with Ent’s Peterson, Buckley and Schriever base service centers to strengthen the credit union’s relationship with military members and will be heavily involved in base-related activities.
BiggsKofford PC announced the promotion of Jonathan Dron to senior associate in the firm’s audit department. Dron joined the firm in November 2012. He is a graduate of UCCS, where he earned his bachelor of science degree in accounting, marketing and PGA Golf management. Prior to moving to Colorado Springs in 2010, Dron worked in the Assurance for PricewaterhouseCoopers located in Miami, where he specialized in the financial service industry.
BiggsKofford PC announced the promotion of Jennifer Malets, CPA, to senior associate in the firm’s audit department. Malets joined the firm in April 2013. Malets has a degree in accounting from Wilmington University, Delaware. At BiggsKofford, Malets serves closely-held businesses, physician groups, local governments, not-for-profit organizations, high-net-worth individuals and specializes in taxation.
BiggsKofford PC announced the promotion of Keenan Scott, CPA, to supervisor. Scott joined BiggsKofford in August 2010. Scott completed his undergraduate degree in business from the University of Northern Colorado and his MBA from UCCS. Prior to BiggsKofford, Scott obtained a diversified background working for an advertising firm in Denver and a mortgage company headquartered in Dallas. He assists clients with all of their business and accounting consulting needs with his primary focus being tax.
AARP welcomed Lorri Orwig to its eight-member executive council, AARP Colorado’s volunteer advisory committee, which helps set AARP’s strategic priorities statewide. Orwig has been chief development officer of Silver Key Senior Services in Colorado Springs for six years. She plans and develops all activities, fundraising and marketing for the organization. She has worked with older adults in a variety of non-profit organizations, as well as in health care and public safety, for more than a decade. She also volunteered for a number of organizations, including Senior Resource Council, St. Gabriel the Archangel Parish, Academy School District 20 and the American Red Cross.
