Commercial real estate in El Paso County was valued at $6.83 billion in 2010, according to the latest appraisal by the El Paso County Assessor.
That’s a slight increase from 2009, when real estate in the county was valued at $6.825 billion.
The yearly appraisal conducted by the county assessor’s office is for tax assessment purposes. Property owners will shell out nearly $52.7 million in taxes for 2010, up from $51.4 million in 2009.

Residential – $3.7 billion
Commercial – $1.9 billion
Personal property – $383 million
Vacant land – $377 million
Public utilities – $287 million
Industrial – $138 million
Agricultural – $14.4 million
Natural resources – $1.6 million
