Falcon Community Builders for Classrooms announced this week that it will build an athletic complex at Vista Ridge High School.
The project comes as a result of a partnership between the nonprofit, funded by home builders in eastern El Paso County, and Falcon School District 49 patrons and board of education.
The complex will include football and baseball fields with turf surfaces , spectator seating, fencing, lighting, landscaping, a concession stand, bathrooms, entry and additional parking, according to a release from Falcon Community Builders for Classrooms.
The nonprofit construction company has donated more than $3.5 million to the school district in recent years through voluntary fees collected from the area’s home builders and developers. Since the organization was created in 2007, it has collected more than $5 million.
