Investors buy 8 properties at foreclosure

Investors bought eight of the 37 properties that sold in the EL Paso County Public Trustee’s foreclosure auction on Wednesday, Aug. 15. The rest were sold back to the lenders.

IDP Capital paid $66,500 for a 1,040-square-foot ranch home built in 1955 at 2810 Wood Ave. (80907). That was more than lender HSBC Bank’s initial bid of $51,000. Lora Hopper borrowed $103,500 on the home in August of 2005. The El Paso County Assessor estimates the market value of the house is $125,827.

Mark Ingham paid $134,000 for a 1,295-square-foot ranch home built in 2004 at 1694 Woodpark Drive (80915). That was more than lender Colorado Housing and Finance Authority’s initial bid of $110,163. Lisa and Ezequiel Fernandez borrowed $173,768 on the home in November 2004. The El Paso County Assessor estimates the market value of the house at $183,750.

Compass Capital Holdings paid $102,000 for a 1,673-square-foot bi-level house built in 1981 at 1855 Harley Lane (80916). That was more than lender Deutsche Bank’s initial bid of $89,285.70. Jose Ramos borrowed $130,000 on the property in April 2006. The El Paso County Assessor estimates the market value of the house at $130,080.

Field of Dreams Investments paid $107,000 for a 1,139-square-foot split-level house built in 1979 at 7376 Colonial Drive (Fountain, 80817). That was more than lender The Bank of New York Mellon’s initial bid of $99,000. Ronald Chartier borrowed $152,000 on the home in May 2006. The El Paso County Assessor estimates the market value of the house at $151,870.

Phyllis A. Brown paid $128,150.15 for a 1,625-square-foot townhome built in 2004 at 6435 Endurance Heights (80922). That was $50 more than lender The Bank of New York Mellon’s initial bid. Riley Salmon borrowed $155,605 on the property in July 2004. The El Paso County Assessor estimates its market value is $162,559.

Abeyta Investments paid $130,000 for a 1,070-square-foot ranch built in 1974 at 1405 Darby St. (80907). That was more than lender Wells Fargo’s initial bid of $119,860.55. Carol Bowers borrowed $127,500 on the home in July 2004. The El Paso County Assessor estimates the market value of the house at $169,648.

Compass Capital Holdings paid $207,000 for a 1,964-square-foot ranch home built in 2006 at 10418 Mile Post Loop (Fountain, 80817). Kelli Broomhead was the borrower. The El Paso County Assessor estimates the market value of the house to be $288,442.

Eric C Greene and Eva J Greene paid $145,000 for a 1,214-square-foot split-level house built in 1973 at 4662 Wonderful Place (80917). Evelyn Hillhouse was the borrower. The El Paso County Assessor estimates the market value of the home at $190,786.
