Colorado Attorney General John Suthers obtained a $594,000 judgment against Thomas Roland for his role in defrauding Colorado consumers, according to a report from the AG’s office. The number of Coloradans enrolled in debt management contracts grew by more than 44 percent during 2009. Eleven debt management and credit counseling companies have settled investigations with the Colorado Attorney General office under credit and consumer laws that went into effect last year.
