Goodwill opening 14th donation center

Goodwill is opening a new drive-through donation center April 30 at its administrative campus, 1460 Garden of the Gods Road. Farm Bureau asks for donations for Yuma Co. farmers

Colorado Farm Bureau Foundation has established an agricultural disaster fund to help people whose farms were damaged by a fire that swept through Yuma County earlier this week. Springs Rescue still needs turkeys

Although Springs Rescue has received a total of 550 turkeys for Thanksgiving, they still need about 600 more, the nonprofit says. The Inasmuch Foundation awarded $320,968 in grants to 12 organizations in Colorado Springs. The grants included a $250,000 award to Cheyenne Mountain Zoological Society for the Encounter Africa campaign. Edith Kinney Gaylord founded the Inasmuch Foundation in 1982 to support charitable, scientific and educational causes. The foundation gives to education, health and human services programs.
