Savvy business executives don’t like to leave money on the table, but few are taking advantage of big tax breaks available to companies located in Enterprise Zones.
The EZ program provides tax incentives to encourage businesses to locate, expand and invest in areas of the state that are designated “economically distressed.”

A bill that would eliminate all enterprise zone tax credits, House Bill 1396, was withdrawn this morning by its sponsor, Rep. Joel Judd, D-Denver.
Stefannie Finley, president of the Colorado Springs Chamber of Commerce’s governmental affairs division, said Judd didn’t have enough supporting voters from the House Finance Committee.

The Colorado Springs Philharmonic has been granted Enterprise Zone status by the state of Colorado – a designation that means donations will given state and federal tax credit.
