Hackers changing road construction signs

State transportation contractors are warning motorists that hackers are changing Colorado road construction signs. Contractor Rick Bowman says the hackers are posting humorous messages warning motorists to beware of zombies and vampires. He says the hackers have changed signs in Colorado Springs and Pueblo over the past few days.

Construction begins today outside the West Gate at Peterson Air Force Base. Work crews will begin repairing some flaws underneath the road’s surface. Traffic along Stewart Avenue will be reduced from four lanes to two lanes from Paine Street through the west gate to the bridge. Construction is expected to last until Oct. 28.
